The Oscars

are—no surprise—DULL. Maybe if Children of Men had been nominated, or Alfonso Cuaron/Clive Owen for Children of Men, I’d be more invested, but I amn’t. I tried to stay interested, I really did, but I’d rather clean my room. (I’m not generally one of those “assert one’s superiority to the masses by rejecting popular cultural event” people. Tonight’s the exception.)

  1. Patio,

I watched the Oscars in their entirety. While oft disappointed, I can’t hide my pleasure at Scorsese’s long overdue statue.

  2. Not just dull….predictible. I didn’t watch, though. I’m one of those people you singled out.
